Roczen, Marchbanks Pace Hangtown Qualifying

The opening round of the 2019 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship is officially underway in Northern California with the 51st running of the Bell Helmets Hangtown Motocross Classic.

The world's fastest riders took to the track as soon as the morning began for a pair of timed practice sessions in both the 450 Class and 250 Class. When all was said and done, Team Honda HRC's Ken Roczen edged out defending 450 Class Champion and Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Eli Tomac to post the fastest lap of the day at 2:15.236. In the 250 Class, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki's Garrett Marchbanks earned the first top time of his young career at 2:15.455, which put him a tenth ahead of Monster Energy/Star/Yamaha Racing's Dylan Ferrandis.
