Watch: Amerine Leads Youth Surge at Thunder Valley 125 All Star
The thousands of fans at Thunder Valley Motocross Park were treated to a showcase of 2-stroke prowess in between the first and second set of motos at the True Value Thunder Valley National. The 125cc All Star Series featured its third race of the summer, with a loaded field of 26 riders tackling the mile-high elevation.
The battle for victory turned out to be a glimpse of the sport's bright future as a pair of teenagers put on a show. Seventeen-year-old Kaeden Amerine and 15-year-old Brock Lassiter were flying up and down the mountainside layout, to the delight of the crowd that was savoring the beloved sound of the 2-stroke engines. The talented youngsters hail from neighboring states, which provided an added sense of rivalry as they duked it out for the win.
In the end, Amerine emerged triumphant aboard his Yamaha, with Lassiter not far behind in the runner-up spot riding a Husqvarna. The third and final spot on the podium was claimed by Yamaha rider Joseph Dalzell.
