Watch: Chase Yentzer Leads the Charge at High Point 125 All Star

Monday, June 17, 2019 | 12:45 AM

The thousands of fans at High Point Raceway were treated to a showcase of 2-stroke prowess prior to the start of the opening moto at the Circle K High Point National on Father's Day. The 125cc All Star Series featured its fourth race of the summer, with a talented field of 44 riders tackling the circuits steep hills and slippery off-camber corners.

The battle for the victory developed early as the crowd found themselves cheering for their very own Pennsylvania native and one of the sport's bright future stars Chase Yentzer. Sixteen-year-old Yentzer was relentless as he attacked the challenging circuit with pure aggression ahead of New York's MacCoy Shine. The cheers from the crowd traveled in a wave as they followed the beloved sound of the 2-stroke engines up-and-down the hillsides.

When the checkered flag waved, Yentzer emerged victorious aboard his KTM, with Shine just behind in the runner-up spot riding a Husqvarna. The third and final spot on the podium was claimed by Luke VonLinger, who was also competing aboard a Husqvarna.

Our partners over at Racer X had multiple perspectives of the action.
