The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship is back in Michigan for its 45th annual event, and qualifying for the Circle K RedBud National at RedBud Motocross Park has just wrapped up. The event is famed for its 4th of July tradition as riders and fans wear red, white, and blue colors in honor of America's Independence Day.

A pair of qualifying sessions gave riders a look at RedBud's revised track layout for the first time since the facility hosted the Motocross of Nations, and in the end Red Bull KTM Factory Racing teammates Cooper Webb and Marvin Musquin sat atop the time sheets. It's the first time this season that Webb topped the 450 Class, and his time of 2:05.121 came early in the first session. Musquin, who ended up second, recorded a 2:05.179 and edged out Team HRC Honda's Ken Roczen by seventh tenths of a second in third. Webb looks to carry his momentum into racing in hopes of capturing his first 450 Class victory.

Over in the 250 Class, Monster Energy/Star/Yamaha's Dylan Ferrandis topped qualifying for the first time this season. The Yamaha rider, who often struggles to put himself at the top of qualifying, is looking to go after his second victory of the season. His time of 2:08.322 was seven tenths quicker than his Star Yamaha teammate Justin Cooper, while championship leader Adam Cianciarulo followed one second back in third.
