Watch: Joey Dalzell Tops 125 All Star Class at Spring Creek

Sunday, July 21, 2019 | 5:30 PM

Between motos at the Frescados Spring Creek National, the Minnesota fans were treated to a 2-stroke showcase during the 125cc All Star Series. Despite heavy thunderstorms throughout the morning, fans packed the fence line to enjoy the smell of premix and watch more than 30 2-strokes scream around the legendary Spring Creek Motocross Park.

The rain brought challenging conditions and it turned out to be survival of the fittest. The battle for the victory came down to Joey Dalzell and local Minnesota rider Joshua Boaz. With muddy conditions on the track, the start proved to be critical as the leaders were able to breakaway from the field early in the race, staying out of the chaos that ensued behind them. Dalzell held on to take the victory aboard his SSI Decals/TZR/Seven backed Yamaha YZ125. Boaz, competing on a Answer/Bell/Race Tech Honda CR125 finished a strong runner-up, while Chase Stevenson completed the podium on his FXR/Wiseco/Motoseat KTM 125 SX.
