The 30th running of the GEICO Motorcycle Budds Creek National hosted the penultimate round of the 125cc All Star Series in Southern Maryland at the famed Budds Creek Motocross Park. A large crowd filled the hillsides and weathered scorching temperatures to cheer on more than 40 2-strokes buzzing up-and-down the racetracks legendary hills.

The battle for the win proved to be a battle of the youth when the gate dropped just prior to opening ceremonies. A three rider trio consisting of Mason Gonzales, Chase Yentzer and Christopher Blackmer led the way on a challenging day. When the dust settled, it was Gonzales who emerged to take the checkered flag aboard his Yamaha YZ125.

Winner of last weekend's Unadilla National, Yentzer, finished strong to bring home his KTM 125 SX in the runner-up position. Blackmer completed the podium in third on a Yamaha YZ125.
