The action throughout both motos across each class at the GEICO Motorcycle Budds Creek National was exceptional, and the path to victory that ultimately saw Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM's Shane McElrath and Monster Energy Kawasaki's Eli Tomac emerge atop the podium was a direct result of their prowess coming out the start gate. For Tomac, the pair of stellar starts not only handed him the win, but also a historic third straight title.
