The penultimate round of the 2019 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship was bound to be filled with drama as both the 450 Class and 250 Class titles had the potential to be clinched at legendary Budds Creek Motocross Park. The action throughout both motos across each class at the GEICO Motorcycle Budds Creek National was exceptional, and the path to victory that ultimately saw Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM's Shane McElrath and Monster Energy Kawasaki's Eli Tomac emerge atop the podium was a direct result of their prowess coming out the start gate. For Tomac, the pair of stellar starts not only handed him the win, but also a historic third straight title.
