A historic weekend of action from Michigan's RedBud MX kicked off with the first of two rounds over Labor Day weekend at the famed venue. Friday's Circle K RedBud I National was as competitive as ever across both the 450 Class and 250 Class, as the sport's biggest stars laid it all out on one of American motocross' most beloved tracks.
A month into his rookie 450 Class season, Monster Energy Kawasaki's Adam Cianciarulo is showing he belongs on the star-studded premier class. He's continued to learn what it takes to run up front, and as a result he's showing considerable improvement in his ability to battle through the pack. At RedBud I, Cianciarulo was able to showcase both of these skillsets after recovering from an opening-lap crash in Moto 1 and battling with the frontrunners in Moto 2. Fortunately, thanks to GoPro, we're able to get a first-hand look at how each of Cianciarulo's motos started on Friday.
In addition to Cianciarulo, GoPro's cameras were able to capture a variety of other riders' experiences during the opening RedBud round, including Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing's Broc Tickle and Team Honda HRC's Christian Craig in the 450 Class, and JGRMX/Yoshimura/Suzuki Racing's Alex Martin in the 250 Class.
Check out all the first lap battles from the RedBud I National.
