The 2020 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship quickly approaching its conclusion, the intensity of the title fights in both the 450 Class and 250 Class has picked up. At the penultimate race of the season, the WPS/FLY Racing Thunder Valley National, that heightened atmosphere complemented the added challenge of Thunder Valley Motocross Park's mile-high elevation, resulting in a memorable afternoon of racing.
On a track where the thin air has a tendency to impact the performance of both the bike and the rider, getting a good start often pays big dividends in the ability to contend for victory. For Monster Energy Kawasaki's Eli Tomac in the 450 Class and Monster Energy/Star/Yamaha Racing's Justin Cooper in the 250 Class, solid track position in the opening laps proved to be a deciding factor in their ability to bring home victories.
Watch how Tomac and Cooper managed their positioning out of gate in both of their respective motos, and see who was able to get the early jump on the rest of the field exiting the first turn with the MotoSport.com Holeshot replays from the Thunder Valley National.
