An incredible season of highly competitive action in the 2020 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship came to a dramatic conclusion in Southern California with the MX vs ATV All Out Fox Raceway National. Titles were on the line in both the 450 Class and 250 Class, and each respective championship battle came down to the final moto.

For eventual champions, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing's Zach Osborne and Monster Energy/Star/Yamaha Racing's Dylan Ferrandis, and their primary title challengers, Monster Energy Kawasaki's Adam Cianciarulo and GEICO Honda's Jeremy Martin, starts would play a critical role in the ability to either protect a points lead, or make inroads on a deficit. In the 450 Class both Osborne and Cianciarulo enjoyed strong starts across both motos, which ultimately allowed Osborne to manage the race and control his own destiny. In the 250 Class, both Ferrandis and Martin endured through up and down starts from one moto to the next, which prevented any significant momentum swings from taking place.
