GEICO Motorcycle Continues as
“Official Insurance Provider” of
2021 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship
Renowned Insurance Provider Will Also Serve as Event Sponsor
of GEICO Motorcycle High Point National
MX Sports Pro Racing has announced that GEICO Motorcycle will continue its role as the “Official Insurance Provider” of the 2021 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing. It will also serve as event sponsor of the GEICO Motorcycle High Point National, which will resume its Father’s Day weekend tradition on June 19 from Pennsylvania’s legendary High Point Raceway.
“Thanks to its commitment to the sport, GEICO has amassed a significant presence in American motocross over the years and we’re fortunate to have them as a partner of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship,” said Davey Coombs, President of MX Sports Pro Racing. “To some extent, GEICO Motorcycle has become synonymous with this prestigious series and we’re excited that they’ll now become part of the storied tradition surrounding the High Point National, which is essentially a home race for our team at MX Sports Pro Racing. This year’s race is destined to be one of the most memorable in recent memory.”
GEICO Motorcycle first became a partner of Pro Motocross prior to the start of the 2014 season and has sustained its support of the championship for what will be an eighth consecutive season this summer. During that time, the company has leveraged the world’s most prestigious off-road motorcycle racing series to not only further amplify its role as the second-largest automotive insurer in the country, but also serve as an extension of its ongoing involvement with the United States military. For the 2021 season, GEICO’s military program will host “Military Appreciation” events at three rounds of the championship: the Thunder Valley National (June 5), the Washougal National (July 24), and the Budds Creek National (August 21). These events will provide first-class viewing areas for military veterans and their families, at three of Pro Motocross’ most compelling tracks.
“The Pro Motocross Championship is one of the most storied and longest-running racing series in the country and possesses arguably the most passionate fan base in motorsports,” said Bill Brower, GEICO's assistant vice president of marketing. “Engaging with the sport and its audience has been beneficial towards the growth of GEICO Motorcycle. Integrating our military efforts into the Nationals has been another incredible asset in our ongoing efforts to give back to our veterans. We look forward to another memorable summer at motocross’ most storied venues and we’re eager to be a part of the festivities at High Point Raceway.”
The 2021 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship will once again consist of a 12-round schedule, beginning on Memorial Day Weekend with the season-opening Fox Raceway I National on May 29 from Southern California’s Fox Raceway. The summer season will bring the world’s best riders to 10 different states, including returns to many of American motocross’ most iconic venues, concluding on September 11 with the sport’s oldest event, the Hangtown Motocross Classic in Sacramento, California.
