The fourth round of the 2021 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship is underway at RedBud MX, featuring a large and patriotic crowd ahead of the Fourth of July holiday. The weather was picture-perfect throughout the morning practice and qualifying sessions at the Twisted Tea RedBud National, which saw a pair of Yamaha teammates position themselves atop the time sheets.

In the 450 Class, point leader and Monster Energy/Star/Yamaha Racing rider Dylan Ferrandis took his first-ever fastest qualifier in the premier class with a time of 2:03.729. Monster Energy Kawasaki's Adam Cianciarulo followed in second with a 2:04.635 and Team Honda HRC's Chase Sexton in third (2:05.062).

In the 250 Class, Monster Energy/Star/Yamaha Racing's Justin Cooper backed up his fastest time for a third consecutive round. Cooper led the way with a time of 2:06.179, which put him ahead of Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider Jo Shimoda who qualified a season-best second with a 2:06.583.  Team Honda HRC's Jett Lawrence was third with a 2:06.601
