2021 Washougal National Qualifying - Pro Motocross Championship

On-track action at the MotoSport.com Washougal National is well underway from the Pacific Northwest's scenic Washougal MX Park. Practice and qualifying for the seventh round of the 2021 season is complete, setting the stage for what is expected to be a compelling pair of motos in both the 450 Class and the 250 Class.

Given their presence atop the championship standings, it wasn't a surprise to see the Monster Energy/Star/Yamaha Racing duo of Dylan Ferrandis and Justin Cooper first on the time sheets at the conclusion of qualifying. While not necessarily known for his fast-lap prowess, Ferrandis showed why he's the rider to beat in the 450 Class with a time of 2:11.452, which was enough to nudge out fellow Frenchman and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider Marvin Musquin (2:11.469) by .017, with by Team Honda HRC's Ken Roczen (2:11.825) following in third.

In the 250 Class, Cooper showed he's comfortable carrying the red plate for the first time this season with yet another fastest lap to lead the way with a 2:13.601, which edged out both his teammate Jeremy Martin (2:13.854) and Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki's Austin Forkner (2:13.928). They were the only three riders in the class to dip under 2:14 on the slick Washougal track.
