How to Watch: Maxxis Fox Raceway II National

Friday, September 3, 2021 | 5:00 PM

The 2021 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship is coming down to the wire as the series makes its return to the West Coast to close out the summer campaign. Pala's Fox Raceway will host its second National of the season and will challenge riders with an entirely new layout the runs in reverse from the track's traditional course.

Following yet another podium performance one week ago, his 10th of the season, Monster Energy/Star/Yamaha Racing's Dylan Ferrandis is on the cusp of clinching the 450 Class crown in his first season of premier class competition. The Frenchman brings a 50-point lead to Fox Raceway and will simply need tie or finish ahead of Team Honda HRC's Ken Roczen to hoist the Edison Dye Cup and become the first rider from France to win the sport's most prestigious title in 30 years.

In the 250 Class, Team Honda HRC's Jett Lawrence has gotten hot at an opportune time of the season and has regained control of the championship battle with Monster Energy/Star/Yamaha Racing's Justin Cooper. A total of 11 points separate the title combatants with four motos remaining as the schedule heads to Lawrence's most successful track. Half of the Australian's four career wins have come at Fox Raceway, where he'll be in search of a third straight victory at the California venue.
