2022 Spring Creek Qualifying - Pro Motocross Championship

The second half of the 50th Anniversary of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship is underway as qualifying is complete for the Frescados Tortillas Spring Creek National from Minnesota's Spring Creek MX Park. Overcast conditions greeted riders in the morning sessions but sunny skies are expected for the motos.

Championship point leader and Team Honda HRC rider Chase Sexton enters Spring Creek with the slimmest of margins in the 450 Class standings, a single point, but gave himself an early advantage by posting the fastest lap in the division. Sexton's blistering time of 2:06.351 placed him two tenths ahead of his Team Honda HRC teammate Ken Roczen in second (2:06.513) while Monster Energy Kawasaki's Jason Tomac followed in third, nearly two seconds back with a time of 2:08.220.

In the 250 Class, Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing's Justin Cooper once again showed his qualifying prowess with a top time of 2:08.584, which placed him well ahead of the rest of the field. Championship leader and Team Honda HRC rider Jett Lawrence posted the second-fastest time, well over a second behind with a 2:10.115, while his brother and Team Honda HRC teammate Hunter Lawrence was third (2:10.708).
