The penultimate round of the 50th Anniversary Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship is underway from Indiana's Ironman Raceway as morning Fast Lap Qualifying is complete at the Tucker Freight Lines Ironman National. The competitiveness of one of the series' most dynamic tracks was on display over the course of both sessions, with multiple riders taking their turn atop the standings.

In the 250 Class it was a return to form for Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing's Justin Cooper, who fully overcame an illness that hindered him at the previous round to once again lead the way. The Yamaha rider's time of 2:00.271 put him well ahead of the rest of the field, with nearly a 1.5 second advantage over Team Honda HRC's Jett Lawrence in second (2:01.697), with his brother and Honda teammate Hunter Lawrence in third (2:01.801).

In the 450 Class, it wasn't a surprise to see the two title combatants dueling at the head of the pack. Point leader and Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing rider Eli Tomac appeared to have the fastest lap in hand, but Team Honda HRC's Chase Sexton laid down an incredible time nearly a second quicker than his rival to top the sheets with a 1:58.817 that topped Tomac's 1:59.742 in second. Monster Energy Star Yamaha Racing's Christian Craig rounded out the top three (2:00.563).
