At the post-race press conference for the Atlanta round of Monster Energy AMA Supercross, Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing's Justin Barcia revealed that he has signed a two-year extension with the organization. This comes on the heels of a successful start to his tenure with the team, which coincided with GASGAS' entry into the sport in 2021 and began with a historic and memorable victory for Barcia during the manufacturer's debut at Anaheim 1 of that season. He then went on to capture the GASGAS' first Pro Motocross win later that summer at the Spring Creek National.

In addition to those hallmark victories, Barcia has amassed a total of 18 podium finishes in SuperMotocross competition for GASGAS. He's yet to finish outside the top five since the season reached its halfway point after Daytona, amassing four podium finishes over the past five races to become the most consistent rider in the 450SX Class at this juncture in the championship.
