Mere days after he made his highly anticipated return to action at Unadilla, Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing rider Cooper Webb has decided to sit out the final two rounds of the 2024 Pro Motocross Championship following an aggravation to his surgically repaired thumb. Webb crashed in Moto 2 at Unadilla and suffered a sprain to his thumb in the incident.
While Webb himself stated the sprain isn't too serious, he and the team decided it is in the best interest of his overall health to rest ahead of the upcoming SuperMotocross World Championship Finals . Webb currently sits 10th in the 450cc SMX combined standings, 68 points ahead of teammate Eli Tomac, who will return from his own thumb injury to contest the final two Pro Motocross rounds.
