The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider endured a frightening crash during Friday's open practice session.

Monster Energy Kawasaki's Chase Sexton will miss the third race of the 2026 season in Colorado following a frightening crash during Friday's open practice session for the Thunder Valley National. The Illinois native was forced to jump off his motorcycle prior to landing on the track's largest jump after a sudden loss of momentum and, per Sexton's personal Instagram, is feared to have suffered a knee injury.  While Sexton did walk off the track under his own power, he will forego racing on Saturday and stated he will get a medical assessment next week.
