The red plate holder from one week ago will be sidelined for the rest of the summer with a broken collarbone.
Honda HRC Progressive's Jo Shimoda confirmed via Instagram that he will miss the remainder of the Pro Motocross Championship after suffering a broken collarbone at the Southwick National. The Japanese rider entered the sixth race of the season in possession of the red plate for the first time in his career, but ultimately never had a chance to race with it as he crashed early in the final qualifying session of the day and was forced out of action with the collarbone injury in addition to a mild concussion.
