The German native has decided to return to action for what will likely be his final season of competition.

Reigning Monster Energy AMA Supercross Champion Ken Roczen has made the highly anticipated decision to extend his celebrated career for another season as the German native has come to an agreement with Pipes Motorsports Group and Suzuki USA to contest the 2027 stadium campaign and defend his title. The 32-year-old was arguably the biggest unknown of the offseason, having finally achieved the one accomplishment that eluded him for 13 years and being open about his thoughts of retirement throughout the summer and postseason. That decision carried greater significance following the retirement of his longtime rival and friend, Eli Tomac, as the two went head-to-head seemingly every year on their respective journeys amassing Hall of Fame careers. Roczen will once again pilot the AWM Fulfillment PMG Suzuki Presented by Progressive/Cycle Gear and will carry the #1 plate for the first time in January inside Anaheim's Angel Stadium.

Roczen's return represents another major domino to fall this offseason, as it likely brings a ripple effect for the limited seats still available in the paddock for the 2027 season. This is particularly relevant to new free agent Chase Sexton, who has yet to secure his landing spot for the upcoming SMX campaign following his recent departure from Monster Energy Kawasaki.

While Roczen is expected to compete in both Supercross and SMX Playoffs, his status for the Pro Motocross Championship will likely be determined on on-the-fly next summer, as has been the case for the two-time titleholder since he made the move to Suzuki in 2023. He has made just four outdoor starts over the past four seasons, including a one-off appearance in the 250SMX Class in 2024.

Roczen finished fourth in the SMX Playoffs and will carry the #1 on his Suzuki for the first time in Supercross, beginning in January.
