The fifth round of the 2020 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship is back on track in Michigan, with qualifying complete at the Circle K RedBud II National from RedBud MX.

For the second time this season, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Marvin Musquin led the way In the premier class. His fastest lap of 2:03.783 came during the second session, followed by JGR/Yoshimura/Suzuki Racing's Joey Savatgy with a 2:04.166 and Monster Energy Kawasaki's rookie Adam Cianciarulo with a 2:04.309. Similar to Musquin, Cianciarulo clocked his fastest lap in the final session, while Savatgy's came during the first session.

In the 250 Class, the Monster Energy/Star/Yamaha Racing team continued to set the pace In qualifying, with Ty Masterpool grabbing the fastest qualifier for the first time in his young career. Masterpool's time of 2:06.510 edged out teammate Dylan Ferrandis's 2:07.047 by a half second. Just behind Ferrandis was Justin Cooper with a time of 2:07.443 and Shane McElrath with a 2:07.650, giving Monster Energy/Star/Yamaha Racing the top four spots.
