The fifth round of the 2021 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship is underway in Massachusetts from The Wick 338 for the only sand race on the championship schedule. Overnight rain left the track soft and wet to start the morning practice at the Twisted Tea Southwick National. The weather is looking great for the afternoon and should provide riders and fans with prime conditions for an excellent afternoon of racing.

In the 450 Class, Monster Energy Kawasaki's Adam Cianciarulo demonstrated the incredible speed we've seen so many times by taking the fastest qualifier with a 2:12.659 to edge out Team Honda HRC's Ken Roczen with a 2:13.212. Roczen's teammate, Chase Sexton, was third with a 2:13.593, followed by championship point leader Dylan Ferrandis with a 2:14.084 aboard his Monster Energy/Star/Yamaha Racing machine.

In the 250 Class, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing's RJ Hampshire picked up right where he left off following last weekend's RedBud National win to qualify fastest with a 2:15.914, just ahead of his teammate Stilez Robertson's 2:15.964. Team Honda HRC's Hunter Lawrence was a distant third with a 2:17.108, while his brother and red plate holder Jett Lawrence was eighth fastest with a 2:18.894.
