Familiar Names Pace Budds Creek Qualifying

Morning track activity at the Circle K Budds Creek National is complete, where practice and timed qualifying were conducted under partly cloudy skies and some relatively high humidity. Heavy rains leading into race day have required some extra effort from the track crew, but the end result is ideal track conditions that should lead to a great afternoon of racing. When all was said and done, two familiar names sat atop the qualifying standings as Team Honda HRC's Ken Roczen once again led the way in the 450 Class, while Monster Energy/Star/Yamaha Racing rider and 250 Class points leader Justin Cooper paced the smaller displacement.

Roczen's class-leading fifth top qualifier this season came via a 1:48.983, which narrowly edged out Monster Energy/Star/Yamaha rider and championship leader Dylan Ferrandis (1:49.075) in second, while Monster Energy Kawasaki's Eli Tomac followed in third (1:49.511).
