Hangtown Aids Tunnel to Towers Foundation Family Mortgage Programs

Through an initiative honoring the 20th anniversary of 9/11 at the Hangtown Motocross Classic, MX Sports Pro Racing and the Dirt Diggers North Motorcycle Club were privileged to raise funds for the Tunnels to Towers Foundation at the final round of the 2021 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. By rallying the motocross community to help raise crucial funds for the families of our fallen heroes, Tunnel to Towers was able to pay, in full, the mortgages of 50 homes for deserving families through its Fallen First Responder Home Program and Gold Star Family Home Program.

Included in this group of families was the wife and children of area police officer Jimmy Inn, who served for the Stockton Police Department and was killed in the line of duty this past May.

The effort through the Hangtown Motocross Classic alone helped Tunnel to Towers reach a quarter of its commitment to deliver mortgage payments to 200 homes this year, in honor of the 20th anniversary of 9/11.

The Siller Family started the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation to honor the memory of their brother, Stephen, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers.

The goal of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation is to continue Stephen’s legacy by supporting our nation’s first responders and service members. Building for America’s Bravest, a program of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, constructs specially adapted smart homes for our most catastrophically injured service members.
