Muc-Off/FXR/ClubMX Yamaha announced that 450 Class rider Garrett Marchbanks suffered an injury during the pre-race riding session hosted at Fox Raceway ahead of the season-opening Honda Fox Raceway National. Marchbanks needed stitches to address a wound on his thumb suffered in a crash involving other motorcycles and also re-aggravated an existing thumb injury that had been previously treated.

"I am so frustrated and upset that this happened," said Marchbanks. "I just want to race, this is my career. I came over that jump at full speed, with no indication there was not one, not two, but three guys laying on the downside of the jump. I have to score points to make it into SMX and now that is in jeopardy."

The team did not announce if Marchbanks will miss any additional rounds.
