MotoSport.com Holeshot Replays: Loretta Lynn's National

After a long wait the 2020 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship was able to officially begin with a historic debut of professional racing at Tennessee's Loretta Lynn's Ranch. Given the circumstances, the inaugural Circle K Loretta Lynn's National was expected to be a wide open battle to determine which riders would prevail with the victory across the 450 Class and 250 Class. To make matters even more interesting, a series of thunderstorms late in the week provided challenging track conditions for the riders to tackle, which only added to the unpredictability surrounding the opening round.

With so many unknowns awaiting the world's fastest riders the importance of the start took on an even greater role. In today's era of American motocross starts can easily mean the difference between winning and losing. As the only opportunity to pass all 39 riders at once, capturing the MotoSport.com Holeshot is undoubtedly the most sought-after achievement for any rider on the starting gate. Being at the head of the pack with a clear track can carry a rider to victory or a podium more often than not. It serves as a deserving award for the rider who nails his reaction time, launch out the gate, upshifts, and entry in and out of the first turn.

Check out which riders were able to gain the early advantage at the season-opening Loretta Lynn's National with the MotoSport.com Holeshot replay from all four motos.
